The 4 mm thickness is a proven choice, also used by manufacturers of fireplace and stove inserts. This thickness is fully sufficient for normal and intensive use. The thicker 5 mm variant is mainly used for larger formats or where a more robust solution is required. Due to its heat-resistant properties, the glass is also used in industrial applications.
Heat-resistant glass with 4 mm thickness is flat and clear. It transfers all the heat from the firebox to the heated room, remains dimensionally stable even after intense heating, and is highly resistant to thermal shocks. The maximum temperature resistance is 800 °C.

The glass is manufactured with rough edge processing. If you prefer a different edge finish, you can select it in the menu above under “Edge Type” – depending on your needs, Seamed Edges or Ground Edges are available.
During installation, it is recommended to use self-adhesive sealing cord 10×2 mm or 10×4 mm, as the glass must not come into direct contact with the metal construction or frame. Please handle the glass with particular care during installation. We recommend wearing protective gloves to prevent injuries.
