ROBAX® IR Max self-cleaning glass-ceramic by SCHOTT features an ultra-thin metallic coating applied to one side of the glass. The coating reflects approximately 10% of the heat radiation back into the combustion chamber, helping to improve combustion efficiency and reduce soot deposits on the glass surface. It offers:

For maximum accuracy, please always enter dimensions in millimetres (mm).

Self-cleaning ROBAX® IR Max glass is not identical on both sides. The functional metallic coating is applied to one side only. When measuring your original glass, make sure to maintain its original orientation so that the coated side is installed facing the room after installation.

We recommend measuring your existing glass carefully to ensure a perfect fit for the replacement panel.

Custom Manufacturing and Edge Finishing

The ceramic glass is cut to size and supplied as standard with basic cut edges (standard edge finish).

If you require a different edge finish, you can select it from the "Edge Type menu". Available options include Seamed Edges and Ground Edges.

Important Installation Recommendations

When installing heat-resistant glass, it is important to use flat self-adhesive sealing tape 10×2 mm or 10×4 mm. The glass must never come into direct contact with the metal frame or stove body.

Place the sealing tape not only on the frame or glass but also on any clips, brackets or mounting parts to ensure the glass is fully isolated from metal components.

The self-cleaning coating is applied to one side of the glass only. During installation, this coated side must always face the room (the outside of the appliance). Incorrect installation orientation significantly reduces the self-cleaning effect.

Tighten screws and fixing clips carefully and never overtighten them. Excessive pressure on the glass may cause it to crack.

Incorrect installation is one of the most common causes of glass breakage.

When handling glass panels, always work carefully and consider wearing protective gloves.

Orders placed on working days before 12:00 are usually processed the same day and dispatched immediately.

Typical delivery time is 4–5 working days depending on your location. Please note that ground edges and custom special glass shapes usually require an additional 1–2 working days for production.
